La Pata de Oro, S.L. ('we', 'La Pata de Oro'), tax ID B-00000000, registered at Carrer Tuset 8-9, Barcelona, España, is the data controller for the personal data collected through the mobile app and related services.

022. Personal data we collect
Data you provide when signing up or using the service: name, email, hashed password, city, and dog profile data (name, photo, size, breed, birth date, microchip, sex, food and preferred activities).
Data generated through usage: reviews, feature votes, plans, favourites, notifications, and messages with verified businesses.
Technical data: truncated IP, device identifier, OS type and app version, for security and diagnostics.
033. Why we use personal data and our legal bases
Contract performance: account creation, service delivery, responding to your requests.
Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, security, product improvement, aggregate statistics.
Consent: non-essential communications, analytics cookies, precise geolocation.
Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and content moderation duties.
044. How we use personal data
To show you relevant places, services, and plans; manage your dog profile; and let you save favourites.
To moderate published content, prevent abuse, and respond to lawful requests when applicable.
To send essential notifications (security, service changes) and — only with your consent — optional communications.
055. Public information and social features
Verified business profiles are public by design. Reviews and reflections you post are visible with your first name only; we never display your email or phone number.
You may request anonymisation or deletion of your reviews at any time via the address in section 17.
066. Location and device permissions
Precise geolocation is only activated when you explicitly authorise it via the OS. It is used solely to sort results by proximity during the active session.
You can revoke the permission at any time from OS settings; the service keeps working with city-based search.
077. When we share personal data
With technology service providers acting on our behalf under contract (hosting, transactional email, aggregate analytics). These providers cannot use your data for their own purposes.
With competent authorities when a valid legal obligation exists.
We never sell your personal data.
088. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases we apply Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and additional impact assessments where appropriate.
099. Retention
We keep data while your account is active and for the legal retention periods applicable (accounting, tax, defence of rights). It is then anonymised or deleted.
Dog profile data is deleted when the account is closed, subject to time-limited backups.
1010. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit, password hashing, access control, audit logs, and periodic reviews.
No measure is infallible; in case of a breach with impact we will notify in accordance with the GDPR.
1111. Your data protection rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, object, restrict processing, and portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time without retroactive effect.

1212. Minors
La Pata de Oro is not intended for children under 16. If we become aware that a minor has created an account without parental consent, we will delete it.
1313. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies for operation. Analytics and preference cookies are only enabled with your explicit consent.
You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner or your browser settings.
1414. Automated processing
We do not make automated decisions with legal effects on you. Relevance-sorted results are statistical aggregations of data you and the community provided, reviewed by people where appropriate.
1515. External links and third-party services
We may display links to Google Maps or other third-party services. Navigation on those services is governed by their own policies, over which we have no control.
1616. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will post any material change on this page and notify you by reasonable means when the change affects your rights.
